A new Secret Invasion TV spot and posters show a darker toned series than we’ve had recently from Marvel. Plus actress Cobie Smulders teases that darker tone in a recent interview. Frankly, I hope the show is darker and I like the look of what I have seen so far.
First check out this new spot showcasing Fury as the main protagonist and Emila Clarke’s character taking him to task.
I love this dark tone, and it is perfect for this series. I just hope the final product matches this and doesn’t go anywhere near She-Hulk territory.
The new series of posters highlighting all the main characters and teasing that we don’t know which are Skrulls also sells this show to me. Click on the Twitter post below for all the character’s.

Meanwhile, as said above, actress Cobie Smulders has been talking about Secret Invasion with People.
“This series is much more dark in tone than ones previous. It’s hard to know who to trust.”
“Secret Invasion shows us insight into the lives of agents working to keep Earth and its inhabitants safe,” Smulders continues. “Now, there is a major discovery of the Skrulls. Maria has been trying to get Nick Fury back to Earth to help with a multitude of problems but when the Skrulls become public knowledge, it finally gets his attention. With Marvel creating content for the streaming platform, we are able to spend more time with characters and get to know their backstories and deepen their relationships.”
Smulders went on to talk about how great it has been to pick up this part and keep coming back over the last decade. The actress also praises the great actors she has got to work with previously and on this show.
I’ve not loved Marvel’s TV series overall apart from 1-2 gems. I’m not looking forward to Echo as we’ve heard it had to get major reshoots just to be in a state it could release. However, I am hyped about Secret Invasion, I just hope it does not disappoint.
Do you agree that the new Secret Invasion TV spot posters show a darker toned series than we’ve had recently from Marvel? Is that what you hope for from Secret Invasion, or is that not what you want from a Marvel series? Thoughts below as always.
