There is a secret project with Jeff Goldblum and Taika Waititi it seems. The pair worked together for the first time on Thor: Ragnarok, and it would be fair to say they were well suited. Discussing his former director Taika Waititi, Goldblum recently told CBR about a secret project the pair are working on. Goldblum doesn’t give any hints as to what this might be, so we are left with guesswork. Here is what Goldblum said to the outlet when asked what he thought of Waititi’s work on The Mandalorian.
“I’m a fan of it! I’m a fan, of course, of Taika Waititi. I adore him, always did before I even worked with him, and maybe we’ll do something again together? We’ve talked about doing something else that has to be secret right now but I would do anything with him, sure,” Goldblum continued. “And Disney+ are just a great bunch of people to be associated with. They are a wonderful family, how smart and sweet and kind they are.”
There are a few confirmed projects Waititi has coming up, the ones our readers are likely most interested in are easy. Thor: Love and Thunder and Waititi’s upcoming Star Wars movie. The natural thoughts process may be to go with Thor: Love and Thunder, especially given Goldblum’s Grandmaster is alive. However, there is nothing yet which would rule out Star Wars as an option. Is it possible Waititi has a part in his Star Wars movie in mind for Goldblum.? Yes, it’s possible, but there really is nothing in Goldblum’s words to lean us in that direction.

Would I like to see the Grandmaster back for Thor: Love and Thunder? Yes, if it wasn’t as the main antagonist again. The better question is perhaps would I like to see Goldblum in anything? The answer will most usually be yes, even when it comes to Star Wars. Goldblum is totally capable of playing serious roles, even if modern MCU fans probably associate him with something more comedic. I guess we are just going to have to wait and see on this one?
