Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Teases The Moment Lara Croft Takes Her Title

It’s been about five years since Square Enix and co. rebooted Tomb Raider into the franchise it is today. This newer series took her back to her naive roots, chronicling her first kills, first raids, and everything that leads to her being the iconic badass we know from the earlier games in the series.

But she’s still not quite the “Tomb Raider” we all know and love just yet. She still has more trials and tribulations to overcome, and it looks like the third entry in the trilogy, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, will show that exact moment. Square Enix recently revealed a new motion poster, and it shows a bloody, battered Lara Croft (which we’ve seen time and again in these games), on her way to greatness.

Below is the official description for Shadow of the Tomb Raider:

“Experience Lara Croft’s defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third game and climactic finale in heroine Lara Croft’s origin trilogy. Fans can visit the series’ official site for a chance to play the game early and meet the developers at one of three exclusive reveal events in the United States.”

The full reveal for the game is set to hit on April 27, 2018. The game will hit Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on September 14, 2018.
