With the first official image of Zachary Levi as Shazam released yesterday (you can find a link in the RELATED section), today we receive word from the film’s cinematographer that a trailer for the film will debut at San Diego Comic-Con. The news comes from cinematographer, Maxime Alexandre, brought us the news via his Instagram account, the post was later deleted, but you can see a similar Twitter post from Alexandre below.

So we know that DC will have a presence at SDCC this year with the Aquaman trailer debuting, and now it seems likely that we will also get the trailer for Shazam! If the trailer does show up, it will probably just be a teaser. So in just over a week, fans will possibly get to see a sort of new look for the DC extended universe, as many think Shazam! is likely to take the studio in a much more fun, and less serious direction. With quite a bit of DC content entering the movie news world this week, one wonder what other surprises DC may have in store for fans at the convention (of course, that is pure speculation on my part).
While we might get a small taste of Shazam! at SDCC, the film won’t be released until April of next year.
