She-Hulk Star Expresses Doubt Over A Season 2 | Oh No, Anyway!

She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany expresses doubt over a Season 2 ever getting made due to budget concerns. Oh no, anyway!

She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany expresses doubt over a Season 2 ever getting made due to budget concerns. In a recent interview Maslany says she thinks they blew the budget on Season 1 and that Disney are less keen to do that again for a Season 2. To be fair this is true for all streamers currently and not just Disney. The bottom has kinda fallen out and all streamers are having to reduce costs.

Given the constant use of CGI (some of it questionable) on She-Hulk I really doubt the series was on the cheaper side to make. I also don’t think the character is one that’s going to sell movie tickets. So, what does this mean for She-Hulk’s future in the MCU?

During a Codenames LIVE! – The New Class stream Maslany had this to say when asked if we should expect a She-Hulk Season 2?

“I don’t think so. I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘No thanks.'”

This might upset a few fans, but I’m just going to say it, this is good news for me. I would feel sorry for Maslany if She-Hulk gets dropped because she’s a great actress and played the part well. However, like The Incredible Hulk cartoons in the early 90’s, She-Hulk made the MCU worse.

I’ve never been a fan of this character, who seems to get more attractive to males rather than becomes a beast like Bruce. That always felt like a man decided what would be super for a female that hulked out. She-Hulk has none of the angst or turmoil that Bruce has and I hate furth wall breaking (yes I don’t love Deadpool either).

Tonally She-Hulk doesn’t fit with her cousin Bruce’s story. Whenever Marvel has introduced her in comics/cartoon and now MCU, it’s ruined the series. I had hoped MCU Marvel would be more grounded. Have Jen experience some of the same issues as Bruce originally. However, it’s the most straight adaptation from the comics I think the MCU has filmed so far.

This is not a female thing, that’s not me. I have zero issues with female protagonists. But I’ve consistently never liked She-Hulk, that’s just my take.

I would not go see a She-Hulk movie and I don’t think she fits in Avengers movies either. Being it’s own little thing on TV was for me the only hope it had and if it cost too much to make then why would they make more of them? So for me, ultimately I won’t shed any tears if She-Hulk was needed back on her home planet. You kknow, and then we get some text saying She-Hulk died on the way home.

What do you think of her comments as She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany expresses doubt over a Season 2 ever getting made? Thoughts below as always.
