Showtime’s Ray Donovan May Be Coming To An End Soon

Ray Donovan‘s days of fixing problems may be coming to an end.

For seven seasons, Showtime’s popular Liev Schreiber-starring drama has enjoyed a loyal following from critics and fans alike. Now, Showtime’s Co-President of Entertainment Gary Levine is weighing the possibility of bringing Ray’s story to an end. “I think Ray Donovan is nearing the end of its run. We always talked about seven or eight seasons. Nothing has been decided yet but it’s fair to say it is nearing the end,” Levine told Deadline.

This news comes as the show’s seventh season approaches its season finale on January 19th. The network will also be delivering the final season of Shameless this summer. With Ray Donovan being a winter series, Levine believes their is time to think things over. “Because Shameless was being pushed to the summer, that expedited that process. Ray is still on hiatus and because of deals and locations and everything else, we’re on a more relaxed timetable,” he said.
