Hello and welcome back to this month’s review of Sideshow Collectables!  This month there are new contests and giveaways, they do this every month so make sure to check out the site every month to enter.  The one new pre-order that caught my eye was the new Black Widow statue by Iron Studios.  The statue is very close to having all the likeness of Scarlett Johansson and is about 18 inches tall, with and 1:4 scale model.  The price of course is not cheap, it goes for about $700.00 plus shipping and handling.  But like I mentioned last month, you can do monthly payments to make it more affordable to have.  Plus, once the items are sent and paid for you will receive reward points to use for another purchase on Sideshow.

The other pre-order item is for those that love classic metal or need a gift for someone who is.  The AC/DC tankard is more or less a bad-ass mug made of cast resin that is hand-painted, and yes very awesome looking.  This item will run you about $50.00 plus shipping and handling but will be a nice gift or for yourself.  They also have a few new pre-order art prints available one is Harley Quinn drawn by Warren Lou and Lou Wolverine by Vincenzo Riccardi.  There are two prints not out for pre-order yet but worth checking out, they are Venom by Ryan Brown and Poison Ivy drawn by Warren Lou.  They are all very colorful and can be sent framed or unframed, they measure about 18 x 24.  The starting price for each is $95.00 plus shipping and handling, plus being framed or unframed.  They are also number and limited to a certain number as well with an embossed seal of authenticity. 

One of my favorite statues that I received a few months, back was my DC Premium Batgirl by Sideshow Collectibles.  She was very detailed as per Sideshow standards, the cost was $575.00 plus the shipping.  I am very happy with this statue because the cape itself has wires that can be bent to create anyway you want her cape to be displayed.  They only made 500 of this statue which is why it is a premium one, she is about 21 inches tall and has some weight to hold her as she is jumping with one foot on the stand.  So if you would like to get one for yourself, sorry you missed out on this one because she is sold out.  If I remember right the same day she was available for pre-order, she was sold out the same day. 

For most items on Sideshow, you will need a non-refundable deposit, but that’s how they make sure you get it, and it determines the number they will produce.  In other words, if you like something on the site don’t hesitate, grab it!  In the past, I have been on the site and see something I wanted to add to my collection and forgot to pre-order that day. Then I would go back the next day to order it and find that it has been sold out.  But sometimes you can get lucky and be put on a waiting list for that item.  You are put on the waiting list in case someone decides to cancel their order, and then you may be the lucky one to get their item.  So if you like something, get it while you can before it is sold out.
