Signed Star Wars Script To Appear On New Episode Of Pawn Stars

One thing I’ve learned after three years at LRM, it’s that you never know what is gonna pop up on the news log next. Today a story showed up about the next episode of History Channel’s Pawn Stars. Rick Harrison and his buddy Steve Grad (autograph dude) were shown an original Star Wars script. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for sale.

However, a signed Poster for A New Hope (simply titled called Star Wars at the time of the poster’s production) was up for grabs, though we’ll have to tune in to the new episode to find out if Rick closed the deal. Check out the video above

With many fans yearning for the days of yore-ge Lucas, this script might be at its peak value, especially considering Disney tossed Lucas’ treatments for the sequel trilogy to the farthest reaches of the Outer Rim. However, the Mouse did bring Lucas in for advice on The Mandalorian, and Rise of Skywalker, which must make George feel good (insert Thanos back to meme here). I’m sure even though it’s not for sale, the script does have a price, probably some ridiculous number, but I bet if Disney for some reason wanted it, they could get it.

The revisions on the script would be the best part of the item to me, seeing what was and what could have been, I would find this information incredibly interesting. Pawn Stars is one of the few reality shows I watch. From what I understand the show is fairly setup, meaning while the items and transactions are real, the haggling over price is predetermined off camera and then reenacted. And of course, the little storylines involving Chumlee and others are, or at least seem to be completely fabricated. As long as the items are real, I guess.

You can check out Rick Harrison back when he still had to work the overnight shift, as the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop appeared on an episode of Comedian Dave Attell’s Insomniac.
