Silver Surfer Disney+ Series In The Works? | Theory Talk

Could a Silver Surfer Disney+ series be in the works? First, I would like to clarify that this is just theory crafting.  There is no concrete evidence that an actual Silver Surfer series is actually in production. Yesterday, The Cosmic Circus revealed they had discovered two new production titles for Marvel Studios. Their very own Ayla, had come across two brand new production titles for upcoming Marvel Studios projects. These projects are registered under Extremely Dangerous Productions LLC and Prodigal Pie Productions LLC.

The Cosmic Circus were able to confirm through state filings that both projects are currently slated as a “Production Entity for a DTC Series” and a “Streaming Service Production”, meaning both should be intended for release on Disney+.

As most of you know Marvel Studios have become more secretive with their production titles over the years. Most of the recent production titles have very little to do with the actual project so it is understandable that no one really knows what the projects actually are.  In regards to Extremely Dangerous Productions the options are limitless to what the actual project is.  But with Prodigal Pie Productions LLC I think it leans into a Marvel comic book event that included The Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Prodigal Son storyline included three interconnected special issues featuring the Fantastic Four, the Silver Surfer and the Guardians of the Galaxy back in 2019.  We already know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 and Fantastic 4 are in production or greenlit for theatrical releases. So two-thirds of this storyline already is in the works. What if the “Pie” part of Prodigal Pie LLC is a reference to this story arc as a “Piece of the Pie”?  I don’t think the actual Prodigal Son storyline will translate to the big screen, but it does make sense to bring the Silver Surfer to the MCU.
