According to two separate sources Skeleton Crew rumored to have some production issues. Plus one of those sources also has some information about potential pirates. First off though we will start with the potential issues described.

Skeleton Crew is currently filming under showrunner Jon Watts. However both MSW, and Bespin Bulletin has heard that there have been some problems on set. Here is what BB had to say when covering MSW‘s initial report.

“The unfortunate part of the report is that MSW has heard from various people who formally worked on Skeleton Crew, who’s informed them that the shoot has been tougher than past California based Star Wars productions. Crew members reportedly felt underappreciated, disposable and disrespected which resulted in low morale and many staff members leaving the production. Unfortunately I too have heard similar things and it truly saddens me.”

Here is what MSW said.

“The production’s schedule was grueling and the crew felt underappreciated, disposable, and disrespected. There were management shifts and the morale fell pretty low recently.”

It remains to be seen how accurate this report is. However normally when you get two separate sources saying the same thing, there’s fire behind that smoke.

Here is what MSW had to say about the (fictional) crew having to deal with pirates and other threats, led by Jude Law’s ‘teacher’.

“Sources have said Jude Law’s character is a teacher and the show is like a field trip into and out of the known Star Wars Universe with “The Goonies”. Jude Law’s part instructor of the students, part Bran (the older brother in Goonies) in the series, as they contend with pirates in unknown territories. The journey takes them through rough spots and to opulent places.”

“For the alien lovers out there, I glimpsed a photo, really briefly, of the masks for this show and there are a lot of classic alien species from the original six films in this series. I saw Weequays, Baradas, Mon Cals, Rodians, you name it, the greatest hits were all there. One Weequay looked a lot like Hondo Ohnaka but I honestly can’t confirm that the mask was his at this point but serious Hondo vibes were felt when I saw it. I see a Weequay with goggles and I get hopeful.”

Hondo Ohnaka would be interesting and a fan favorite choice for live-action. I guess the question would be, why Hondo is in these strange unexplored places? For now I don’t think we can say there’s a rumor Hondo shows up. It may be slightly speciest of me, but I cant tell those Weequay’s apart myself.

Remember that previous reports from MSW (realated section above) had said Skeleton Crew would be either set in another Galaxy, or a new part of the existing one that’s unexplored.
