Skylan Brooks Talks About His Role In Archenemy [Exclusive Interview]

The superhero genre for the most part really sticks to similar storylines where the good guys prevail in the end. Over and over we have seen that movie with similar (sometimes the same) characters. This is not a complaint, as I myself am a sucker for them and will continue to buy tickets for the next one, and the one after that. It’s difficult then to go outside of the box and be successful as there are expectations. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t any good ones. One perfect example is Amazon’s The Boys that has completely flipped the script on superheroes. This week a new superhero feature film has been released that has also thought outside of the box.

RLJE Films has released the action/thriller feature film, Archenemy. This film follows Max Fist, played by Joe Manganiello. He claims to be a hero from another dimension. Who after battling his archenemy Cleo, played by Amy Seimetz, ends up falling through time and space to Earth, where he has no powers. Here no one believes his larger than life stories. No one except a local teenager named Hamster, played by Skylan Brooks. He takes his Max’s stories and shares them on social media, a place where he can be featured. Now together they have taken to the streets to wipe out the local drug syndicate and its vicious crime boss known as, The Manager.

Archenemy

Archenemy is written and directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer. Along with the mentioned cast members, it also stars Zolee Griggs, Glenn Howerton, and Paul Scheer.
