Jack Bannon Talks About Alfred’s Psyche In Season Two Of Pennyworth [Exclusive Interview]

This weekend is the release of the second season of EPIX’s original series, Pennyworth. In case you haven’t seen it, the series follows the life of Alfred Pennyworth. Played by Jack Bannon before he was a butler for the Waynes. Ultimately as we all know becoming the father figure for Bruce Wayne as he grew up and then a huge ally for Batman. The first season introduced us to a 60’s London as well as a cast of characters that we will continue to follow this season. These include even figures like Thomas Wayne, played by Ben Aldridge, and Martha Kane, played by Emma Paetz.

Pennyworth

In the second season of Pennyworth, we find England in the middle of a vicious civil war. The Raven Union, led by Lord Harwood, played by Jason Flemyng, is threatening to take control of the entire country. We find Alfred in North London, one of the few places the resistance is still holding. Here he is running The Delaney, a black-market Soho club that welcomes everyone, regardless of their politics. Despite doing well there, he and his mates Bazza, played by Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, and Daveboy, played by Ryan Fletcher, are now looking for a way out of the country. They now have their eyes set on America.
