Solo: A Star Wars Story – New TV Spot Gives Extended Look At Holochess Scene

Along with the clip of Han and Lando meeting for the first time, another clip from the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story shows Woody Harrelson’s Beckett character (who I believe will become a fan favorite) playing holochess with Chewbacca. The TV spot is an extended version of the scene we got a glimpse of a few days ago.

As most Star Wars fans know, Wookiees don’t like to lose. We see Beckett in the clip asking Chewy if he is sure that’s the move he wants to make. Chewbacca makes said move, and Beckett proceeds to destroy Chewy’s piece on the board, causing Chewbacca to have an outburst in traditional Wookiee fashion, by trying to knock all the pieces off the board, which of course doesn’t work, because they’re holograms, as Beckett astutely points out.

I am hoping this movie will be another pleasant surprise in the same way that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story turned out to be. I have more or less put The Last Jedi behind me and am ready to enjoy some no pressure Star Wars content.

Solo: A Star Wars Story opens May 25.

Do you think Beckett will eventually double-cross Han? Let us know in the comments down below!
