Space Force – Greg Daniels Says ‘There’s A Lot To Follow Up On’ And Is Hopeful For Future Seasons

Space Force. One of Netflix’s more recent comedies arrived on the streaming platform a few days ago. The show comes from producer Greg Daniels and Steve Carell the series follows a four-star general who has recently been promoted. His next assignment sees him leading the newest branch of the U.S. military.

So how did The Office alums do this time around? It’s, alright.  The show has it’s moments, but oftentimes it seems a key element is missing. The  missing element isn’t the fantastic cast, because the show definitely has that. The overall reception appears to be mixed for the most part, but that hasn’t discouraged Greg Daniels from planning what could come next for the show. He recently spoke with Collider and talked about the show’s future, you can check it out below.

“We’re certainly hoping for a few more seasons, and we have started to assemble the senior writers to discuss what would happen next year. We don’t have the pickup yet, but yeah. There’s a lot to follow up on based on where we ended.”

I like the show enough that I would watch a second season if it were made. Though it wouldn’t be something I waited on with bated breath, but sure, I’d watch. I would say I treat the series the same way I treat a mediocre album from a great band, I enjoy it but I think to myself, “You could have done better.”

It’s also difficult for me to see Carell as someone other than Michael Scott, and I usually don’t have this problem with actors in new roles but during his time on The Office, I really think he put all he had into it the character (that’s what she said).
