According to the latest Barside Buzz Spider-Man 4 is rumored to have script problems to deal with before filming can commence. The information comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon. Daniel has a good hit rate for Marvel. There are some other rumors this festive period, but they are from accounts I know longer cover, or new accounts with no reputation yet. Remember, at LRM Online we only share rumors from those with the best hit rates.
Here’s what Daniel had to say about what he’s heard regarding the script for Spider-Man 4.
‘The Spider-Man 4 script is facing problems, the writing team is trying to fix the plot and improve the story. Following the success of No Way Home’, Kevin Feige and Sony felt pressured and want to deliver something better.’
Now there are a lot of unsubstantiated rumors that have cropped up in connection to this. Essentially they boil down to star Tom Holland loving the last script, but Kevin Feige doesn’t. I won’t speak to their validity though, so for now I’ll stick to this rumor above only.
It is clear that the script, and even the basic premise of Spider-Man 4 has gone through some big changes. We had credible leaks for a plot for the film, which was then changed. Now it seems the plot is being changed again.

Whatever the truth of all this is, the main thing is that we get a good movie at the tail end of it. If the script isn’t ready, so be it. As a fan that’s my only concern. Though, in Hollywood that’s not the only concern, is it?
Time has been set aside in the schedule of Tom Holland and other stars. There’s also where the film falls into the timeline of the rest of the MCU movies that are moving ahead. Far as we know Holland plays Peter in Doomsday, probably the lead hero role. Therefore, the plot of Spider-Man 4 has to be true to how that movie ends, or begins depending on when we get them.
Oh well, let’s see what happens?
What do you think of Spider-Man 4‘s rumored script problems? Thoughts below as usual.
