Spider-Man: Tom Holland Reveals Who Is Responsible For The Elementals

It may feel like Phase 3 has officially come to an end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe — Avengers: Endgame was the culmination of everything that came before it, after all — but we can’t forget that the aftermath of any big battle is just as important as the big battle itself. This is the territory Spider-Man: Far From Home will be covering in its runtime, as the trailers have teased.

Peter Parker is still recovering from the death of Tony Stark and is eager to get away from Spider-Man-ning and spend some time with his friends in Europe. But, along the way, Nick Fury hijacks his vacation and has Peter help take on a group of Elementals with a mysterious ally.

Speaking at a promotional event for the film, Holland revealed which snap in these movies were the ones responsible for bringing in these baddies.

“Mysterio is my new best friend,” Holland said. “We team up to fight these Elemental creatures. When Thanos snapped his fingers, these creatures came through the dimensional rift.”

So what does this confirm? Well, it confirms that it wasn’t Tony Stark’s snap that did the deed, but Thanos’ snap in Infinity War. But do I buy this? Nah, not really. If his snap did indeed do this, then why did it take five-plus years for the world to notice what went on? I suspect that it was Either Stark’s snap or the moment where Thanos summons his army that’s truly responsible.
