Star Trek: Discovery is the first Star Trek show since Enterprise ended back in 2005. Following the Kelvin Timeline films, this revival of the Star Trek universe has been quite successful after the TV drought. Not only is it renewed for a fourth season, but the first trailer for Season 4 dropped online.
Check out the trailer below. Keep in mind it contains SPOILERS for Seasons 1 – 3 of Star Trek: Discovery.
To catch you up, Discovery started approximately 10 years before The Original Series. That’s almost a decade before James T. Kirk became Captain of the Starship Enterprise. Season 1 dealt with a war with the Klingons. The second season focused on the crew of USS Discovery with Captain Pike at the helm, investigating seemingly random signals across the galaxy. Finally, Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery saw the team in the distant future, about 900 years after Star Trek: Picard. The season was about investigating “the burn” and ended with Michael Burnham finally becoming Captain of the Starship Discovery.

Of course, Season 4 of Star Trek: Discovery brings an entirely new threat. A treat so great that the Vulcans and the Federation will have to work together again to save life as we know it. As the trailer says, the Federation has detected a gravitational anomaly that stretches across five light years.
In case you missed it yesterday, don’t forget to check out the trailers for Picard and Lower Decks Season 2.
Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 is coming sometime in 2021 to Paramount+.
Live Long and Prosper.
