We have known for some time that the Star Wars Cassian Andor series was coming. However, most recently there were rumors of delays due to script issues. These were the same rumors that came up around the Obi-Wan show. Those rumors turned out to be correct, but we have heard nothing more about Star Wars Cassian Andor. Last we heard, from our own source, however, was that we were looking at a late-July start date. Well, it looks like that production date may have been updated, as the Star Wars Cassian Andor show could be set for June.
Production List has the show set to begin production on June 1st. The accuracy of the outlet is usually pretty solid on production dates. Perhaps the one thing casting doubt is the way the show is listed merely as ‘Cassian Andor Project’. Normally a working title would be in place by this point, and that’s certainly how the oulet usually lists their details.

One of the rumors we had heard was that due to the delays in the Obi-Wan show, the Cassian Andor series would be moved up. This would certainly tie into a June start date. Maybe those delays really were an unfounded rumor? Fans will find out soon enough if this is genuine and the show is set to begin shooting soon.
The Cassian Andor series will, of course, be a prequel to the events of Rogue One. Cassian Andor (played by Deigo Luna) was killed at the end of Rogue One, but Luna is set to play Andor again, in a show that will explore the period before that movie. Fans are expecting something of a spy thriller with Cassian Andor given the character’s beginning in Rogue One. Saying that, the fan expectation really doesn’t mean much at this point, it’s simply guesswork.
