Star Wars: Dave Filoni Teases A Different Fate For Ahsoka Tano

Warning that there are some mild spoilers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in the following article, I’ll try to keep them as light as possible.

Is Ahsoka Tano alive or dead? That’s the question we are exploring here thanks to a recent Tweet from the character’s creator Dave Filoni. In Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker there is a moment where some voices are heard of former Jedi, and seen as they are all currently dead, it made sense that so is Ahsoka given her voice was also one of those used. Her fate in The Clone Wars animated show where her character appeared was left ambiguous, so fans put the pieces together and thought she must be dead after all, right?

Well, then Dave Filoni posted this on Christmas Day and gave us food for thought. Check it out

Whilst Filoni could me messing with fans, it does appear as though he is teasing Ahsoka remains alive in the main timeline. Though, considering The Clone Wars is getting another season shortly on Disney+, could this simply be Filoni telling us that we could see more of the former Jedi apprentice in the show, which will, of course, be set much farther back in the timeline?

Your guess is as good as mine at this point? The idea of Tano still being around and being used for some reason post The Rise of Skywalker seems a little off to me, where has she been all this time? I would also question why her voice was the only ‘currently alive’ voice that is used in that movie. Though, this tease all seems a bit much for her to then appear in a show set over 50 years prior in the timeline, which fans probably expected anyway.

You’ll have to reason this one out for yourself, because I’m stumped, so you tell us, what is Filoni teasing with Ahsoka Tano here? Any theories, leave them below in the usual spot.
