Star Wars: Expanse Actor Joins Ahsoka Plus Character Descriptions For The Acolyte

Latest Star Wars news, Expanse actor Wes Chatham joins Ahsoka plus some character descriptions for The Acolyte.

Check out the latest Star Wars news as The Expanse actor joins Ahsoka, plus some character descriptions for The Acolyte. We shall start with the news from Deadline that Expanse actor Wes Chatham joins Ahsoka in an important role.

Fresh off the conclusion of Amazon’s long-running sci-fi series The Expanse, actor Wes Chatham is heading back to space as the latest addition to Disney+’s live-action Ahsoka series.

Chatham (The Expanse, Hunger Games, Tenet) will play the right-hand man to Lars Mikkelsen’s Admiral Thrawn in the series, multiple sources have told Deadline.

Interesting, I thought Chatham was excellent as Amos in The Expanse. Oh, and since someone asked me this recently in the comments. Yes, I know Ahsoka has basically already been filmed. However, as you can see from the Deadline link, using language like joins rather than in the past tense is just how these roles get reported.

I’m excited by Ahsoka and enjoyed the trailer, so this is good news for me.

The Acolyte

Latest Star Wars news, Expanse actor Wes Chatham joins Ahsoka plus some character descriptions for The Acolyte.

Following SWC this past weekend some of the actor from The Acolyte shared descriptions of their characters. Check out the video below from Screen Rant with various cast members.

Charlie Barnett is playing a Jedi Knight with cool hair. Manny Jacinto  says he plays a citizen of the Galaxy that gets pulled into a High Republic Jedi mission and has to navigate the story with this Jedi. Dean-Charles Chapman is a Jedi, and Joonas Suoyamo plays Kelnacca, a Wookiee Jedi Master. Dafne Keen plays another Jedi, an alien, who is a badass with a Lightsaber. Then finally, and perhaps most interesting is Jodie Turner-Smith.

Previously Turner-Smith had said she was not a Jedi and would not use a Lightsaber. It seemed like at the time she stopped herself saying more. However here, Turner-Smith says she is a leader of women, a matriarch, a powerful Force user, but neither Jedi, nor Sith. Now, that has the fans thinking  we may explore the Witches of Dathomir more in this show. A Witch would fall nicely into that category. However, that remains to be seen.

I saw some leaked footage of the teaser for The Acolyte shown at SWC. It was difficult to get a sense of the show from the little shown, and the poor quality. However, it certainly looked interesting and mature, which I’m always happy to see more of in Star Wars.

What do you think of the latest Star Wars news as Expanse actor Wes Chatham joins Ahsoka? What do you think about these characters descriptions for The Acolyte? As always, leave any thoughts below.
