Oh, I love me some Hollywood. It’s a great place to live. If you ever get the chance to actually live there for a while, I highly recommend it. It may be an ugly-as-hell city, but there’s a definite unique nature to its culture than any other place I’ve lived. Everyone is working on something, and pretty often, you can head to any Starbucks or café and just…listen to people. Listen to people and you may actually hear some fun details about random film or TV projects being done.

Yes, these guys all sign NDAs when they sign on for stuff, but there’s so much content being talked about on a daily basis all over the Los Angeles era that it’s virtually become white noise to everyone. So, ironically enough, you’re good to talk about whatever wherever you are.

It’s with that in mind that what Daisy Ridley had to say to Jimmy Fallon regarding J.J. Abrams’ seemingly-careless way he revealed the ending of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to her.

“He said ‘do you wanna meet up? I’ll tell you about it.’ I was like ‘Sure.’ This was a few months before we started, and we were in a public, you know, a café. And he fully told me the story from start to finish. And he was speaking at a normal volume, and I was like ‘people can hear us.’ But regardless, the story changed. So, like, he told me the thing, and then a few months later it changed.”

So, at the end of the day, the story itself changed, which is par for the course for these big movies…but is Ridley happy with how the film ultimately ended up?

“Um, yeah. It’s…it’s epic…I wept. It was an embarrassment. ”

Of course, take this all with a grain of salt, as she’s not only deeply involved with the film, but she has every incentive to tell everyone how great it is…but I hope it’ll be great.
