Star Wars Mockumentary – The Last Jedi: An Audience Subverted

I found this little gem and thought that roughly half of you would enjoy, so I deemed it worthy of an article. The Youtube channel Star Wars Antics has done a wonderful job clipping together old footage of moviegoers being interviewed at the theater mixed in with scenes from The Last Jedi that have been altered to look of lower quality and appear older. The video likely took a huge amount of work to find the right clips, so kudos to the creator, as the video is well executed.

The video shows moviegoers fainting after watching certain scenes from The Last Jedi and walking out on others. The aged look of the film in this mockumentary is what really seals the deal for me, it also just makes it more fun. While my enjoyment from this video comes from me having similar issues with the ones represented in the video, I think no matter which side of the love/hate line you fall on with The Last Jedi, the video can still be appreciated. Rian Johnson did indeed subvert expectations, to the delight of some fans and to the dismay of others, leaving the fanbase more or less divided.
