We have a new Star Wars Outlaws Story Trailer to share and it’s all about the underworld, plus a release date for when the game arrives. You’ll be able to get Star Wars Outlaws from August 30th on consoles and PC. So take a look at the new story trailer below.

As story trailers go it is not too bad. We seem to be focused very much on the underworld and competing criminal organizations. That’s good, if that’s what we end up getting. My worry is that half way through Vess will become a Rebel loyalist and go on some mission to defeat the Empire. There’s no hint of that here, but I’ve been fooled before.

As for whether I will pick this game up? I have not seen enough, yet. This trailer looks good, but that’s all cut scenes. The previous gameplay footage we saw was, okay, but fleeting. The less gameplay we get the less confident I feel in a video game. I am more likely to wait for fans to get their hands on it come August 30. Especially when games are so expensive these days. If it feels like a pick up when cheap game, then that’s the road I will go down. The Star Wars licence is certainly not enough these days to get me to pay full price for a game.
There is definitely potential here. However, the decision to have a female protagonist will of course have the misogynists making videos and review bombing this one. There will be some genuine reviews though to check out. Plus, the games subreddit, which will be fans who bought the game is a good place to check post release.
