What the what?! Okay. So I’m a hypocrite. I’m just throwing that out there right the hell now, because I understand my shock is a bit on the stupid side. When it was first revealed that we’d be seeing a familiar face in IG-88 in the upcoming Star Wars Disney+ series The Mandalorian, I kinda made fun of it. First of all, I don’t like the idea of leaning on pre-established characters for no reason. Second of all…we only saw him in a couple shots, so there was nothing to get excited about.
And here I am, a couple months later, shocked as all hell with a recent revelation. The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau took to Instagram to share an interesting post, which showed off director/actor Taika Waititi in a sound booth doing voice-over work. This isn’t a huge shocker, as we already knew he would likely be voicing a character. But guess who it is he’s voicing…

That’s right. IG-f***ing-88. It’s not even that big of new because the character hasn’t done anything in the films at all, so there is virtually no personality to go off of. That being said, it does automatically make me more interested in the character than I would have been otherwise. What do you think of this reveal? Let us know down below!
