As the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi draws closer, the promotional material become more abundant. Today we are treated to two new images of Supreme Leader Snoke. Fans were never able to see the villain in person during Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but this time around we will see him in the flesh, and hopefully in action. The images come from two different sources, one being a series of Star Wars stamps and the other is from a Star Wars trading card app. You can see the images below.

Director Rian Johnson said not long ago that fans aren’t going to learn a lot about Snoke in The Last Jedi, which is disappointing but is sure to increase the intrigue around the character. Hopefully during the trilogy’s finale we’ll get a deeper understanding of the character’s origin. I don’t see Snoke being a Sith as we are used to seeing, I think while his abilities will be largely based on the darkside of the force, I can see him being open to utilizing the light side if it can be to his benefit. I am betting on him being much more of a centrist, just as I expect Luke to be more of a Gray Jedi. Snoke has been around for a long, long time, he has seen the Galactic Empire rise and fall according the novelization of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and at this point there really isn’t a way to know the extent of his Force knowledge.
With hopes of a final trailer arriving the middle of next month, fans hope to get a better idea of the film’s overall plot. Disney has been secretive as usual, but they have to give us something right? I think The Last Jedi is likely to redefine the terms Jedi and Sith. I think both sides will be pulled toward the middle of their ideologies.
