I hope you’re ready for a Thanksgiving sized serving of J.J. Abrams and his thoughts on Star Wars because a feast is headed your way. My contribution will be on concerning Abrams’ hope to show Star Wars creator George Lucas the film, and the pride he feels from the work he did on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Mr. Mystery Box recently spoke with Esquire and about the above-mentioned issues, and J.J. feels very positive about both, check out what he had to say while speaking with Esquire below.
“We just finished it and he always sees them fully. So, I look forward to hearing from him. But I do feel like the thing I’m happiest about is I feel like we’ve told a story that if you look at all nine movies as sort of one new story, I think that there really is a feeling that there is this central story, this inevitability — and I’m just — I could not be more proud of the work this cast and crew have done.”

I hope so Mr. Abrams, I truly do. I will probably never fully understand why George Lucas didn’t finish his nine-episode saga himself before selling the franchise to Disney. Or at the very least have finished it in cooperation with them, and then give them full control of the future of Star Wars.
I don’t know which decision I disapprove of more, Lucas selling before he finished his saga, or Benioff and Weiss drastically underestimating the number of episodes they needed to finish Game of Thrones.
