Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – The Film’s Trailer Gets The 16-Bit Treatment

Videos such as the one at the top of this article are one of the big reasons we all love the internet. We’ve heard our favorite songs and films transformed into both 8 and 16-bit versions that bring a lot of us back to our childhood using the hard to resist concept of nostalgia to draw us in.

The above video is what most of us would call a NES version of the trailer that was released in April. A well done video that comes from YouTuber John Stratman, it looks like a game many of us might have played back in that era.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens this December, and will close out both Disney’s sequel trilogy, as well as the Skywalker Saga (Episodes 1-9) as a whole. And of course, Uncle Palpy, perhaps better known as Emperor Palpatine is set to return in some shape or form in the film. The exact nature of his return is yet to be revealed yet.

After a divisive film in The Last Jedi, Disney hopes that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker can be a more widely pleasing film to the fanbase as a whole.
