DC’s Stargirl has done a fun job at connecting some of the classic DC characters with a new fresh modern point of view. Personally, I enjoy Brec Bassinger’s Courtney Whitmore aka Stargirl, more than the character from the comics. For me a fan of all things DC, what I mostly have enjoyed is the opportunity to see some of the more obscure characters of the DC Universe.
Now is season two we know that the big threat is the classic DC Villain Eclipso. He is portrayed as an adult by Nick E. Tarabay and Jason Davis and as a young boy by Milo Stein. He is the incarnation of the Wrath of God and the Angel of Vengeance that turned evil. Something that was really cool was the addition of a Green Lantern to the series! Also, who would have ever thought that we would see a live-action Sports Master!
Stargirl is well into its sophomore season so today at DC FanDome, fans of the series were treated to a special look at the upcoming October 19th episode of Stargirl. Courtney Whitmore has been banished to the shadowlands. She finds herself trapped in a black and white purgatory while her life hangs in the balance. You can check it out down below!
Here is a synopsis for DC’s Stargirl
DC’s Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama re-imagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series.
