The Flash on The CW is now ready to enter its eighth season. It’s hard to believe that the series that first started back in 2014, has now completed its seventh season. In which time we have seen The Flash aka Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin along with his team go through so many adventures. At times even crossing over with some of the other Arrowverse television series. At one point we even saw him come face to face with his feature film version that is played by Ezra Miller.
As the seasons progressed with every adventure, his experience has grown. Something else that also changed through the season is The Flash’s super suit. It has gotten some very cool upgrades that have come in handy when Barry finds himself in a pinch. Today at DC FanDome, we learned that season eight will see a major upgrade to The Flash Suit. We’ll let the image below speak for itself.
That is right ladies and gentlemen! The Flash is finally getting gold boots. The iconic boots from the pages of the comic books will finally materialize on the small screen. During DC FanDome, Gustin commented about the boots saying that the boots were, “the final element that’s been missing. I’ve loved all the versions of The Flash suit we’ve had on the show, but the suit we have now is the closest to the many iterations you see in the comic books—with the exception of those gold boots! I’ve always felt that those boots would be the final touch.”
Another element of the suit that is new for The Flash is that it features a newly designed center crest and wings. No doubt The Flash is ready to once again do what he does best and run. We can catch the new suit when The Flash returns with the five-part “Armageddon” mega-event beginning Tuesday, November 16th, at 8/7c on The CW.
