Actor Stellan Skarsgard praises the writing on Andor. The upcoming new Star Wars show is still firmly under wraps in terms of the plot. Fans, myself a like assume a spy genre plot given Cassian Andor’s role in the Rogue One movie. However I’d also guess audiences will get to see life under the Empire, and why Cassian makes the decision to join the Rebels in the first place. Andor will star Diego Luna once more as Cassian, but alongside him is Skarsgard who fans will likely most easily associate with his Erik Selvig character from the Avengers movies.
Screen Rant caught up with Skarsgard who had nothing but praise for the script by Tony Gilroy.
“The writing is really good. It’s the same writer that did Rogue One. And also to work with Diego Luna, who’s an old friend. So I was excited by that. And then my character is… Well, you’ll see. It’s fun to play because he has a lot of different faces to show.”

One wonders of Skarsgard could be playing a fellow spy, or a spy master. It seems too obvious that Skarsgard is instead just another Imperial Officer of some kind. We do know that Ben Mendelsohn will make his return to reprise the rile of Krennic. Though to what capacity Krennic will be involved is unknown. It does seem as though Skarsgard is a series regular though, so we will keep wondering what his deal is until we know more. Andor as yet does not have a release date, though best estimation is currently the end of the Summer or beginning of Fall period.
Andor is heavily rumored to be 12 episodes long, but that has never yet been made official and these details have at times changed right up until very late previously. In other words, don’t bank on that until you hear it from Disney.
