Back on October of 2012 the first season of The CW’s Arrow premiered. The series that follows DC Comics’ character Green Arrow was the catalyst for what is now known as the Arrowverse. This universe saw the rise of other superheroes like The Flash, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Constantine, The Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. Through the last eight years we have seen an abundance of characters and crossovers that the star of Arrow, Stephen Amell was a part of.
As we know all good things must come to an end. This past January we saw the last episode of Arrow. Here Amell signed off as the Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow after eight seasons. But with so many other series that came out of Arrow, could we possibly see Amell guest star as Queen every now and then? This was the question that was asked to Amell during an Instagram live stream on Tuesday. The answer fans got was probably not what everyone wanted to hear. “No, I’m done,” he said with a smile. “That was good. It was a good eight years but it was time to be done.”

Amell backed up that thought by describing his time as Oliver Queen as a different life. While watching Roswell, New Mexico on The CW he said that, “It was weird seeing promos for Supergirl and Flash and Batwoman again. It seems like a different lifetime. I don’t think I’ll be doing that again.” With that statement it would seem like he was ready for something else other than the Arrow character.

It was a great run for Amell as the Green Arrow. We had the opportuinty to see him go toe to toe with characters like Deathstroke and Ra’s al Ghul. To a certian point he served as the “Batman” of the Arrowverse. Even though he seems very convinced that he won’t be playing the character again, I don’t believe that this is the last time we have seen Amell as the Green Arrow.
