Following Marvel Studios big SDCC announcements boss Kevin Feige talked about the three sides of the MCU now, Supernatural, Street, and Cosmic. Feige spoke to many different outlets about the Phase 5 and Pahse 6 of the MCU and several times referred to these three branches. In the interview with MTV News below, Feige talked about how Daredevil and now Spider-Man were Street level, whereas Eros and Pip are Cosmic.

With regards to Gosling and Ghost Rider, as you’ll guess Feige was tight lipped. All he said here was that he’d love to find something for Gosling in the MCU.
Looking at the upcoming projects it’s easy define where most fall in to this three tired system. Daredevil: Born Again I think speaks for itself, as does The Marvels and Blade. Agatha: Coven of Chaos you’d guess supernatural. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Loki Season 2 are Cosmic, and I’ll guess that Captain America: New World Order is Street, as is Echo.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania I’ll guess is sorta Cosmic, as is Secret Invasion. Perhaps harder to define easily are Wakanda Forever, Ironheart and Thunderbolts. Thunderbolts could be anything depending on the roster and plot. Meanwhile I don’t really think Wakanada Forever, nor Ironheart quite fit into Street, Cosmic, or Supernatural.

Once we get to Phase 6, again the Fantastic Four movie could either be Street or Cosmic. However my guess would be Cosmic this time around. As for the big Avengers movies? Those could be a mix of anything, however since it is the end of the Multiverse Saga, then Cosmic seems the best fit to me.
There are still many upcoming projects unannounced for Phase 6. I’m especially intrigued by those that come between The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. This will likely not be revealed for a long time because I’m guessing they’ll serve as a bridge between the two big movies.
Kevin Feige says the three sides of the MCU are Supernatural, Street, and Cosmic. Do you disagree with where I placed any projects? What do you think of Feige’s comments about these three tonally different paths for the MCU? As always, any thoughts below, or over on Discord.
