With the events of Supernatural’s thirteenth season leaving Dean Winchester being taken over by the Archangel Michael, the writers are up for some new challenges. Sam and Dean have of course always been the center on the show, but now the writers will be without older brother Dean for at least a few episodes. Showrunner Andrew Dabb recently spoke with TVLine about the situation.
“The show’s built upon two pillars, and those two pillars are Sam and Dean. We’ve taken Sam away for little chunks of time here and there, but never in a huge way. He’s been soulless and things like that, but he’s still kind of present. Demon Dean was kind of a one-episode thing, and largely, the action happened off-screen.”

I actually am 3-4 episodes behind on Season 13, I wasted the entire summer and didn’t get caught up, I blame The Food Network and Impractical Jokers. These are the sacrifices LRM writers sometimes make for readers in order to bring them news. At the end of the day, Supernatural has always been about two brothers hunting monsters, and while the writers may temporarily stray from that path, they will always return to it. The Winchesters will surely find a way to fix Dean, I mean they always find a way, right?
