It was eight years ago that the world was introduced to Lorraine and Ed Warren in The Conjuring. This horror film did well enough to have not only sequels but spin-offs as well. These include Anabelle and The Nun. Today is the release of their next paranormal case in the New Line Cinema film, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. This is the seventh film of the franchise.
As always this film is based on one of the real-life cases that they investigated. I think that for me personally, the fact that these films are based on actual real experiences ups the level of chills and thrills. Whether you believe it or not really doesn’t matter as it’s presented to us as a form of entertainment. One thing is for sure, fans of this Conjuring Universe have a special place in their hearts for Lorraine and Ed, played by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson.
