Hardly a surprise nothing has changed, but in a recent interview Temeura Morrison says he still hasn’t heard anything about The Book of Boba Fett Season 2. The show was fairly well received in terms of viewing figures, though critically it was panned and many fans felt the same way. When you were watching Season 1 it felt like it wasn’t designed as a limited series, but an ongoing one. However, there has been no talk of a Season 2, even to Morrison.
As you can see by Morrison’s quotes below when he spoke to News Hub it seems the actor is getting the usual fob off answers when he asks.
“I don’t know what’s going on there. We’re coming out of this downtime period so I think everyone is just settling back in and it all goes back to budgets and what they want to do and how much the thing costs. I really don’t know. Judging by the fans I’ve met, they all want a season two, but I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

However, I have to be honest in my assessment. I’m not sure I do want a Season 2 sorry Temuera. In other words, if the plan is not to completely retool Season 2 into a very different show, both aesthetically and tonally, then I’d rather they not bother. If any show needed a more mature tone like Andor it’s Book of Boba Fett and yet it may be one of the lighter, campy Disney+ series.
Robert Rodriguez is all over Book of Boba Fett and he went Spy Kids over Desperado. That’s the shows problems in a nutshell. If a Season 2 is to happen them for me it needs a new show runner with a darker take. Boba Fett should be like a slightly less complicated and more actiony Sopranos. He’s at best an anti-hero, not a hero, and his neutrality is what makes the character interesting. So if someone has an idea, go for it, if not, leave it be.
What do you think of his comments as Temeura Morrison says he hasn’t heard anything about The Book of Boba Fett Season 2? Thoughts below as always.
