Tenet Releases New Poster Expecting Film To Be In Theaters Soon

Tenet wishes that it can reverse time and see the moments of the future.

Warner Brothers are still optimistic that Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi pic is coming out this summer. The film was slated for July 17, then July 31 and now for August 12. Due to this pandemic, everything is up in the air, especially with today’s announcement by Governor Gavin Newsom, closing most movie theaters until further notice.

Nonetheless, Tenet remains to be the most anticipated movie of the summer if it ever gets released. Even Disney’s Mulan looks at the possibility of shifting its schedule into September or beyond.

Tenet stars rising star John David Washington as the lead protagonist alongside Robert Pattinson. He is the son of Denzel Washington, who earned acting acclamations after starring in BlacKkKlansman, All Rise, Monsters and Men, and HBO’s Ballers.

As for the plot, Christopher Nolan leaves little clues in the trailer—leaving us confused and more curious than ever.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real-time. Not time travel. Inversion.

Warner Brothers released this new poster today with Washington in a slick suit with a mirror image of himself in the background wearing a breathing mask. What does that mean? Who knows?

However, it does have a tagline that reads, “Time Runs Out.” But remember, it’s not a time travel movie according to the synopsis.

For now, Tenet will be in theaters and IMAX on Wednesday, August 12 (maybe).
