Check out The Batman new trailer plus a new synopsis for the upcoming Matt Reeves movie starring Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz. This latest trailer outs the spotlight on the Bat and the Cat. In other words Batman and Catwoman, who it seems have to team up against the threats facing Gotham City. We also get a little glimpse into the plot around the Riddler and the fact he seems to know fine well that Batman is Bruce Wayne. Check it out.
Here is the latest synopsis from German site Cinemaxx, translated into English.
“Dark, stylish retelling of the Dark Knight’s fight against the crime in Gotham. Gotham is being hit by a gruesome series of crimes that the police have long been unable to cope with. Bruce Wayne aka Batman does what he can, but also reaches his limits. The Penguin has a hand in it, but he is only one in the all-encompassing swamp of the city. The appearance of his childhood friend Selina Kyle alias Catwoman creates additional emotional confusion in the angry fighter for justice.”
Doesn’t quite 1-1 into English, but I think you get the idea. I guess the most importnat detail here is that Selina Kyle has a connection to Bruce from their younger days. Though, form the trailer it also appears as if neither of them work out who the other is, I hope that’s not the case as I’m not sure I’d buy it.

Either way, The Batman looks a fun movie. I like my Batman dark and broody, so as a a fan of The Dark Knight trilogy, I’m looking for something as dark, but perhaps slightly less grounded this time around. Whether that’s the case or not remains to be seen. However you can be sure I’ll be in theatres opening weekend for this one.
