Matt Reeves’ The Batman will feature a Gallery of Rogues. Actress Zoe Kravitz has been cast to play one of those rogues in iconic Batman villain Catwoman. Kravitz revealed the material she has been reading to get ready for the role. Batman: Year One, the classic comic written by Frank Miller.
Kravitz appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and gave her thoughts on the beloved comic story. You can check out what she had to say below.
“I’ve been reading the Year One comic. It’s great, it’s super badass.”
Zoe Kravitz will make a fine addition to the list of actresses that have played Selina Kyle/Catwoman. And hopefully, her version won’t suffer the same fate as Halle Berry’s. Reeves seems jumping right in and seems fully confident that he can handle a team of villains as well as the Dark Knight himself. I am excited about the film and believe Reeves can deliver, however the thought of all these characters brings up the memory of the George Clooney led Batman: Too Many Characters, or as it’s known to many people, Batman and Robin.
As I’ve said before, I’ve not read a lot of comics, but I have read a lot about the comics, and of course, watched most all animated adaptations. I really do hope that the film took inspirations from the works of Frank Miller
