The Black Phone Trailer 2 | Ethan Hawke Looks Terrifying In New Look At Horror Film

The Black Phone

It seems like we have been waiting for Blumhouse’s The Black Phone now for a while. Last year it had made its way around a few film festivals but is now ready to finally make its way to theaters everywhere. The date is June, 24th 2022. Today Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for the film. Check it out down below!

This new trailer for The Black Phone is a lot more focused on Ethan Hawke’s character. The actor’s terrifying transformation can be seen here. We also see the different variations of the mask that he will be wearing. It will be interesting to see how he picks what he is wearing. What I appreciate most about this trailer is that it leaves out a lot of the information that was presented in the first trailer. My suggestion is that if this is your first taste of The Black Phone, then don’t watch the first trailer. In my opinion, it will make your viewing experience a lot better.

The Black Phone is directed and co-written by Scott Derrickson. He is the writer/director of Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and Marvel’s Doctor Strange. Along with Hawke the film stars Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, and James Ransone.

Here is the synopsis for The Black Phone

Director Scott Derrickson returns to his terror roots and partners again with the foremost brand in the genre, Blumhouse, with a new horror thriller. Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
