Kiersey Clemons, who plays Iris West in Justice League and is also set to play the character in 2020’s Flashpoint, has told CBM she is not part of the sizable reshoots for Justice League that are being handled by Joss Whedon:
“I finished all my stuff with Zack [Snyder]. I wish him well and I have no idea what’s going on right now but I’m sure whatever they’re doing is necessary. I know the parts that I did introducing Iris are f*cking sick. I can’t wait to see the movie. I’m so happy that I’ve been introduced to this genre because I didn’t really have any type of desire to be a part of any superhero world. And then I stepped on the set of Justice League and I was like, ‘Holy sh*t. Alright!'”
Clemons sounds very enthusiastic about her part in the film, and the film in general, especially for someone who wasn’t big on the superhero world. With all the drama surrounding Justice League (and the DCEU overall), including large scale reshoots and super powered mustaches, it is nice to see someone that is a part of the film sing its praises. Clemons also told CBM that she hopes Flash’s solo film, Flashpoint, will begin shooting next year, seeing as how West is a character from Flash’s side of the DCEU:
“I’m gonna finish up the year, and then by January if we aren’t gonna go on The Flash I will probably get back to writing and then take a little break.”
With Clemons more or less saying that Flashpoint doesn’t have a definite start date, it appears as we are getting more of the DCEU that we have come to know, but not so much love.
