The Dungeons & Dragons Movies Has Been Written

Remember that old Dungeons & Dragons movie starring Jeremy Irons, Marlon Wayans, and that dude from Suzie Q? Yeah, I do too. It was terrible, and yet it was one of those movies I forced myself to like simply because it was a fantasy movie, and there weren’t nearly enough of them to go around. While we definitely have a lot more around nowadays, it’s still a genre that can use some love, and it makes sense that Hollywood would revisit the popular tabletop franchise.

This time, leading the charge, you have writers and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. The pair were the main writers on Spider-Man: Homecoming and directed the surprisingly fun Game Night. They were brought on to tackle the new DnD film, and finally, after several months, a script has been birthed.

Of course, no details were given, and given that it looks like a screenshot of a computer screen, there’s no chance o making out the text in the page following, but it’s still exciting news.

Hopefully, revisions will be limited and we can get this bad guy going for a late 2021 release…but it’s Hollywood, and it’ll come out when it’s damn well ready
