The First Trailer For TRON: Ares Brings The Grid To Earth

The Grid is back.

Disney unveiled the first official trailer and poster for TRON: Ares, the long-awaited third chapter in the iconic TRON franchise. Set to hit U.S. theaters on October 10, 2025, TRON: Ares marks the next evolution in the digital-meets-reality saga that began over four decades ago.

Directed by Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), TRON: Ares introduces audiences to a new era of the TRON universe, centered around a powerful and intelligent Program named Ares, portrayed by Oscar-winner Jared Leto. In a high-stakes twist, Ares is sent from the digital realm into the real world, sparking humanity’s first encounter with an artificial intelligence being born from the Grid.

The star-studded cast includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, and the legendary Gillian Anderson. Jeff Bridges also returns to the franchise, reprising his role that helped launch the original TRON to cult status back in 1982.
