The Flash Gets An Official Synopsis Following Recent Trailer

The Flash gets a new official synopsis following the recent trailer which had its debut last Sunday.

As per the headline, The Flash gets a new official synopsis following the recent trailer which had its debut last Sunday. There’s nothing too drastic in this synopsis, not if you’ve seen the recent trailer anyway. However I was recently reminded that some casual fans didn’t even know certain characters shown in the trailer were in this movie. Ergo, if you like to watch a movie fresh as a daisy and never watch any trailers, then this synopsis is not for you.

For everyone else, here it is direct from theflashmovie.com.

Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

As said, this synopsis is pretty much the trailer, so no shocks.

Outside of Ezra Miller in the double starring role The Flash ensemble also includes Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon (Man of Steel), Ron Livingston (The Conjuring), Maribel Verdú (Elite), Kiersey Clemons (ZS Justice League), Antje Traue (Man of Steel) and Michael Keaton (Batman ’89).

The Flash looks very much an adaptation of the Flashpoint stories we’ve seen before in other mediums. However, the one difference may be the inclusion of Multiversal options this time. Within most Flashpoint adaptations or re-tellings, the time travel works a bit more like Back to the Future rules. Does that make sense? In other words, if there’s a different Batman, it’s not someone called Bruce Wayne. However we know the Multiverse will be a big component of this adaptation. Therefore the Multiverse provides some interest to me to see this story told again in a new medium.

But that’s me, what about you? What do you think of the new The Flash official synopsis following the recent trailer? Leave us your thoughts below as always.
