Some more news from The Mandalorian as Variety is reporting that pre-production on Season 3 of the hit Disney+ series has already started. The outlet is also reporting that sources close to the series are saying creator Jon Favreau “has been writing Season 3 for a while,” and the art department has been working on concepts “for the past few weeks.”
Another source reportedly said the following.
“We’ve just started pre-production and are looking into further adventures for The Mandalorian in Season 3.”
This isn’t too difficult to believe as the show helped launch Disney’s own streaming service, Disney+. And was well-received by both fans and critics. Disney knows when life eventually (we all hope and some of us pray) returns to normal, Star Wars fans are going to want more of this fantastic space western.

The first-ever live-action Star Wars television show brought a setting with a sense of nostalgia while telling fans an original story. The familiar world provided comfort while the story kept us entertained. A wonderful effort by Favreau and his team who seem to grasp what the franchise needs better than anyone else who has tried in the Disney era.
Oh and because of this show, Bill Burr is now part of the Star Wars universe.
