The Mandalorian Could Turn Into A Feature Film!

The Mandalorian is something that fans have seemingly taken a liking to. If you scour the interwebs, you’ll notice a lot of fans ecstatic over the possibilities for the show’s future. If all goes well, one can imagine a healthy run for the show, but the possibilities open for other future Star Wars shows like the Obi-Wan series. But are there any other big possibilities for El Mando?

This honestly didn’t even come to mind, but there are apparently some folks out there that are hoping for a Mandalorian movie. Well, it sounds like Disney is keeping their ears open, as indicated by recent comments to Variety by Disney boss Alan Horn, who said:

The Mandalorian is already proving to be a big thing, so if that series proves to be so compelling that we reverse engineer it into a theatrical release, a two-hour film or whatever, O.K.”

So I’m simultaneously excited and underwhelmed by this comment. First off, the idea of a theatrical Mandalorian film is awesome…but it doesn’t sound like he’s actually talking about actually doing a new movie, but instead taking the first season and condensing it into a theatrical release.

Not sure I’d be up for that, as you’d literally just be REMOVING from it and not adding much of anything, which is not the way to make a good theatrical film, in my opinion. As someone who’s seen plenty of anime shows get condensed into theatrical releases, I can tell you that it rarely works out for the better.

But is that even what he’s saying? Let us know your interpretations in the comments section below!
