The Office Leaving Netflix Tonight Is Not One Of Jim’s Pranks

Two long time business associates will end their relationship tonight. Yes, unfortunately, the day many an Office fan has been dreading is finally here. The popular NBC series will no longer be available to stream on Netflix as it’s moving to NBC Universal‘s streaming platform, Peacock, starting tomorrow.

In my opinion, having The Office on demand is worth the monthly Netflix price alone. The series was one of the bigger draws for the streaming giant as I know more than a few people who only have a Netflix subscription so they can watch The Office.

The silver lining? Peacock will offer feature things like curated playlists and extended episodes containing never before seen footage as well as curated playlists. For free Peacock users, only the first two seasons of the show will be available to stream. Premium subscribers can enjoy the entire series.

I’ve seen the series at least 7-8 times through and countless other times it just played in the background as I surfed the web or even watched YouTube videos. The show really is a comfort television. The move is sure to be hard on loyal Netflixers, but who knows, if they give Peacock a chance, they just may end up satisfied and smiling.

Will you be subbing to Peacock simply for The Office? Let us know in the comments down below!
