The Potential Importance Of The Dice In The Last Jedi

We all remember the dice from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. They were another part of Luke Skywalker’s Force projection from the end of the film. Kylo Ren was actually able to hold these dice in his hand for a moment before they disappeared. A crew member has revealed in the documentary The Director and the Jedi that these were the dice that Han Solo used to win his beloved Millennium Falcon from Lando Calrissian:

“We made these dice which were hanging in the Millennium Falcon cockpit. Apparently, it’s what Han Solo used to win the Millennium Falcon so he’s always kept them hanging up.”

Perhaps the dice have a touch of destiny about them or are somehow enchanted by the Force. It’s possible than Han Solo winning the Millennium Falcon was not brought for by luck but by fate, so that he may eventually meet Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker, and help Luke on his journey to redeem Anakin Skywalker and (temporarily) save the galaxy.

The story always went that Han won the Falcon from Lando in a game of sabacc, which according to several sites, is a card game. Disney can pretty much change whatever they want now that they own the rights, so what we see in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, may be different than anything we have heard in the past.
