Production On Season 14 Of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Begins

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the best comedy of all-time. That statement is sure to get a discussion going, and likely an argument. While I can’t say I wholeheartedly agree with it, I also wouldn’t argue hard against it, as Sunny is definitely in my top five comedies, and fluctuates positions having occupied every number on that list at one time or another.

The long-running FX show has, in my opinion, has had some of it’s best seasons over the last few years and returned to a level. I’m not saying the show went to hell and dug itself out of that hole, but some of the middle seasons did have a dip in quality for me, it was still funny, but to me, it didn’t have that element of, “Sunny Funny.”

Noticeably, Kaitlin Olsen’s Sweet Dee and Danny DeVito’s Frank Reynolds are absent from the photo, while that may concern some fans, I haven’t heard any word that would indicate the two being less involved with the upcoming season.

The show took the concept of unlikeable people being likable characters and elevated it to new levels. One of the early reviews of the show still best describes it in my opinion, “It’s like Seinfeld, on crack,” and was the reason I chose to check the show out way back in the olden days of 2005.
