Barside Buzz Information

This is information that comes from TheOneRing.net, who say they have the LOTR show episode count and the running time of the first two episodes. It has long been rumored that the first two episodes of Season 1 will act like a prologue dealing wit the events that led to the scenario’s we see beginning in Episode 3 of the show. According to the outlet those first two episode will have a combined runtime of around 3 hours. That would be like two TV length movies.

The social media post below says 2 hours, however they also say it was a typo and really 3 hours in additional comments.

The source though also claims that in total Season 1 will consist of 8 Episodes.

None of this is particularly surprising in terms of what most vague rumors and fan speculation was saying. Of course there’s no guarantee those first two episodes will act as a movie length prologue. However that is also what FoF has been saying and his information on The Rings of Power has been very good.
