Hollywood is a very toxic and high-pressure industry where most people will not succeed in this business. In the thriller series Swimming with Sharks, Kiernan Shipka and Diane Kruger are in this psychological thriller that pits an assistant versus her abusive boss.
The story is filled with many psychological twists and turns that audiences cannot turn away to watch this intriguing tale.
Here is the official series synopsis:
When Lou Simms (Kiernan Shipka) starts her internship at Fountain Pictures, she seems like a naïve Hollywood newcomer, awestruck by the studio’s notorious CEO, Joyce Holt (Diane Kruger). In truth, Lou has done extensive research on Joyce, and landing this internship was no happy accident. As Lou’s obsession grows, she will do anything to get close to her idol.
Kathleen Robertson wrote and is the showrunner for the series with Tucker Gates directing. Chris Cowles, Liz Destro, Stephen Israel, Jay Cohen, and Dana Brunetti served as executive producers.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with the showrunner, writer, and actress Kathleen Robertson about the series and her experience as a first-time showrunner.
Kathleen Robertson is best known for her roles as Tina Edison in the Canadian sitcom Maniac Mansion (1990-1993) and as Clare Arnold in Fox’s Beverly Hills, 90210 (1994-1997). From 2011 to 2012, she played the role of Kitty O’Neill in Starz’s Boss and then played homicide detective Hildy Mulligan in TNT’s Murder in the First. Her film credits included Psycho Beach Party, Scary Movie 2, XX/XY, and Hollywoodland. Swimming with Sharks will be her first entry as showrunner, in which she is also a star in the series.
Swimming with Sharks is currently streaming on The Roku Channel.
